Paignton Torbay Bowling Club is situated in the centre of the English Riviera in Torbay, Devon just 200 yards from the fabulous Paignton Sands and just yards away from the shopping area, along with the mainline Train and Bus stations. Paignton Torbay Bowling Club was founded in 1920 and is affiliated to Bowls England and Bowls Devon. As a registered Community Association Sports Club our doors are open to all,whatever their age,gender,race or ethnicity. The club consists of three sections the Mens, Ladies and the V1 club for the blind, totalling about 100 members which means that unlike several other local clubs, with more members, you are normally able to play a roll up on the Green when you want or more likely to be selected for representative matches against other clubs. 

Sometimes small really is best ! We welcome new members of all ages to either play the game or become a social member.Social events are held throughout the year including barbecues, fish & chip evenings and the club annual Tour, all culminating in the clubs annual awards evening at the end of the playing season. Our playing surface is maintained by DGM Turf Care in association with our own qualified Greenkeepers and we are regularly asked by the county association to host matches and knockout qualifiers. We offer bowling to suit all preferences, from friendly social bowls such as roll-ups and club days, friendly matches against other clubs, leading on to local leagues and competitions at club, county and national level for the more competitive player. The club is represented in various County competitions along with the Men’s Mid Devon League (3 teams) ,Over 55’s triples league (2 teams) and the Ladies in the South Devon League (2 teams) plus the Riveria Mixed Triples league. Short mat bowls is played in the club house during the Winter months and our players often receive invitations to play against teams at other local venues.

We can provide seven rinks, a bar,catering and Wi Fi facilities all at very competitive prices. There are many local Hotels along with B & B’s, within yards of the club that will suit all tastes. Together with the many Devon Pubs and Restaurants, this makes us the ideal location for a Club Tour to consider, as the base for their visit.
