Young Zoo Explorers Go Animal Tracking! 4th - 26th of September

Become a Young Zoo Explorer and discover a whole new fascinating world at Paignton Zoo.
Join us for four fun events and develop super sleuthing skills when you go bug hunting and animal tracking, learn more about aquatic critters when you go pond dipping, and help with keeping the animals in the Zoo entertained when you grow herbs and sunflowers to make toys for them to play with!

Graduate as a Zoo Explorer and enjoy free entry to the Zoo all year!
We really hope that as a Young Zoo Explorer you will join us for all four events. At your first event you will be given an Explorer’s passport and at the end of each event you will receive a stamp to show that you have successfully completed the day’s exploring. Collect all four stamps and you will qualify as an expert Zoo Explorer. At your graduation ceremony you will receive a certificate and a year’s membership to the Zoo. And – as if that wasn’t enough – TV wildlife expert Nick Baker will be on hand to give a talk. So what are you waiting for? LET’S GO EXPLORING!

Young Zoo Explorers Go Animal Tracking!
For today’s exploring it’s off to the wild woods in the Zoo where not many people ever go to perfect your sleuthing skills when you go animal tracking. You’ll need to look for footprints in the mud, holes dug in the ground, bark scraped off trees and even poo to find out which animals live there. You could even find the homes of some of them! And that’s not all, as our expert hunters will also show you how to make moulds of the footprints left by various creatures for you to take home.

Booking information
Tickets for each event cost £15 per child. We do ask that all children are accompanied by an adult, for which there is a charge of £5 each. Book for all four events and receive a discount - £50 for children and £15 for adults. The ticket price includes an Explorer’s pack for the children, light refreshments for everyone and entry to the Zoo all day. There will be plenty of adult content in each event and of course you are welcome, and indeed encouraged, to join in with all the activities! All events start at 10.00 a.m. and will finish at approximately 1.30 p.m.
